Whirlpool Refrigerator Defrost Thermostat

Description:

  • LONYE Defrost thermostat 4387503 is located inside the freezer compartment either directly mounted to the evaporator or indirectly mounted to the evaporator.

  • It has two wires (7.9” ) that connect inline with the heater and a clip on the body of the thermostat that allows it to latch onto the evaporator tubing.

  • The thermostat stops the fridge from overheating during the defrost cycle by protecting the evaporator.

  • This clip-on thermostat will sense the temperature increase in the evaporator during the defrost process, and will cycle the defrost heater off after the ice or frost is melted.
